Hello Classmates, In the Article#2, Memory loss: When to seek help. I learned Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is the stage between the expected cognitive decline of normal aging and the more serious decline of dementia. It can involve problems with memory, language, thinking and judgment that are greater than normal age-related changes. Mild cognitive impairment is not dementia. The other major difference between MCI and dementia is that any of the symptoms that are seen in mild cognitive impairment do not cause any interference with the person's daily level of activities. Unlike, Dementia is a collective term used to describe various symptoms of cognitive decline, such as forgetfulness.
